Wolfgang is an outstanding male, the heir apparent to his sire Kodiak. Everything we could have hoped for. His dam, Estates Happiness in Harmony, is a dam who's more like an impact sire. This female's influence is nothing short of amazing. Wolfgang's fleece is exceptional with uniformity of micron, pencil bundling, high-frequency architecture, blue-black color, excellent handle, and intense density. Wolfgang's conformation and bone structure are spot on. He is a handsome and gentle male. I love when you "know" what you can depend on a sire to produce. We've gotten to that point with Wolfie. I know he will produce density, fineness, consistency, perfect conformation, exquisite phenotype, complete coverage, and a loving personality. Wolfgang's cria are holding their own in the show ring! We are pleased with the consistency of improvement in Wolfgang's cria. Our evaluation indicates improved fleece, conformation, density, color, and phenotype in his off-spring. As for color, Wolfgang is throwing true black and darkening the dam. He is consistently improving the dam. We especially appreciate the robust general health, large, strong, straight bone structure, highly developed fleece with micro-bundling, density, and gorgeous phenotype complete with full face coverage. Color genotype testing for Wolfgang indicates EEa1a3. Having an a3 allele has proven consistently to produce a rich blue-black color in our herd. It is being passed through multiple generations, and they are non-fading true blacks. Wolfgang has no dilution and carries both black alleles. It will be very unlikely that he would produce light offspring, and all offspring will cover black. We are excited to have this information to assist in our breeding decisions.
