Our program is working to develop true black huacaya with fleece statistics of 20/10 - 20 micron and 10 pounds shearing. Many of our alpacas have met the first goal some as low as 16 micron while fleece weight remains a challenge. Our lines have improved staple (100-120mm) and we are now concentrating on density through more fibers per square inch. Our gross fleece weights have improved such as Iyowata at 8 pounds or Thahca just under 7.0 pounds with 60% as blanket and seconds used in sock production. The range in micron of this group is 19-24 as of their 2015 shearing.

MAMGB Thahka is his half sister as a result she would therefore be sold with a breeding to Mondavi, Hanblecheyapi, or Iglaspa.
